Rose Ramos immigrated in the United States in February 2013 and was hired by Biddle as a Quality Control Associate for the EEO/AA Division in November. She is now the Team Lead of our Quality Control team. After passing the nerve-wracking citizenship interview, she is now officially an American citizen and is very excited to be able to vote in future U.S. elections.
Rose’s journey to citizenship was not easy. The processing for immigration took over 10 years and while waiting, she had established herself as a successful Consultant for McDonald’s Philippines. While the decision to leave her native land, her friends, her career, and families was not easy, she is glad that she took the huge leap of starting a new life in the United States. She said, “The U.S. offers a wide range of opportunities for hard working immigrants like me. My living transition was made easier by the people around me – my friends, my family, and my co-workers. While I would like to preserve my identity and my culture as a Filipino, I am also excited each day to learn and assimilate the American culture. I am grateful to be here and excited for the future.”
Congratulations, Rose!
We are glad that you are here.
