Take the pain out of Component 2 filing

EEO-1 Reporting Component 2

Private employers and federal contractors with 100 or more employees are required to file their workforce's pay and hours worked data within a pre-defined 12 salary bands by gender and race to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) by September 30, 2019 and annually thereafter. In 2019, employers are required to file, via electronic upload, both 2017 and 2018 EEO-1 Component 2 data by the deadline.

Key Data Fields Required for Filing EEO-1 Component 2:

  • 12 defined pay bands within each of the 10 EEO-1 job categories;
  • Number of employees by race and gender; and
  • Total hours worked by employees within each of the pay bands.

Employers should not underestimate the complexities of the data and/or the data skillset required to successfully upload data to the EEO-1 reporting site. Fortunately, Biddle has created a process to take the pain out of filing Component 2.
