Biddle Consulting Group, Inc. was established by inheriting
the technologies and business practices of three decades of
experience in the Equal Employment Opportunity and Personnel
Selection fields. This statement is built on lasting principles
that we intend to carry into our future.
We specialize in the areas of Equal Employment Opportunity
and Personnel Selection. In these two areas, we provide consulting,
tests, and software. By specializing in only these two areas,
we maintain a solid level of competence and expertise that
benefits our company, our clients, and the communities we
serve.
Our consulting services will be marked by thoroughness, timeliness,
and professionalism. Our services to clients will be punctual,
relevant, and beneficial. Our billing will be accurate and
fair for the time we invest. Our work will be performed with
the client’s best interests in mind.
Our tests will be developed and administered as if we were
on the receiving end of them. They will have a justified relationship
to the job that will be evident to both advanced practitioners
and the test taker. They will conform to both solid principles
of classical measurement and new theories that
work. We will strive to balance the qualities and benefits
of merit and objectivity with social awareness and the realization
that measurement tools will always have limitations. We believe
that the total selection process should closely mirror the
actual requirements of the job, and should measure those requirements
using tools that will effectively and accurately do so. The
results should be interpreted and used in a way that fairly
considers the limitations of the tools and the context of
the organization. This provides and represents fairness to
individuals, groups, and the community at large.
Our software will be functional, clear, and responsive to
our clients’ needs. Our design philosophy will encompass
two primary goals: general applicability and customizability.
It will be as broadly applicable as possible and will be designed
by considering the diversity of our clients. And, it will
be customizable for our clients’ specific needs. We
believe this balance optimizes our software and distinguishes
it from others.
Leadership is a practice, not a title. For the company to
be successful, everyone needs to practice active leadership.
We work together to find ways to be successful.
Problems give way to effort. Effort is most effective when
all members are rowing, the ship’s course has been determined,
and everyone knows the destination.
Accountability, autonomy, and competency: Members will have
as much autonomy as their competency and accountability will
allow. This balances what we do and who does what.
Democracy and autocracy: We strive to balance the two. Decisions
are better when refined through input, but then they are made
and we move on.
Plans are only as effective as their follow through, their
monitoring, and their adjustment when necessary.
We make things simple by working through their complexities.
Principles before profit.
Anyone can be right.
Everybody counts.
Integrity matters.
These are our standards of practice. We will lose money, decline
work, and restrict our expansion before we compromise these.
